Our Little Garden
I had a great time with the kids today. We got down and dirty. We did 2 Topsy Turvys. One with tomatoes and the other with mixed peppers. Sweet mixed peppers, jalapeños, and also poblanos. Then we prepared a huge planter. They helped dig up the old dirt and mix in some new soil. In the planter we did Cilantro, Basil, Parsley, Chamomille and green onions. Can't wait to see how it all grows. I'm very excited about it but was more happy to see us all working together. It was quality time I won't forget! I'm so proud of them. I heart you guys!

Book Drive
I put up a post on FB about the book drive just asking my friends to save me their books for April and May. I got such a big response I decided to go ahead and post it as an "Event". I know the kids will be greatful and I truely appreciate. I will be handing out the books the last week of school so the kids can read them over the summer. Thank you so much for your donations and cooperation!

My Calling
I have been doing a lot of thinking on what it is I really want to do. What can I do on a daily basis that will make me happy. Something that is mine. My own business. I've decided what it is and the last couple of days I have been jotting down lots of ideas and surfing the web. I'm excited, it makes me happy just to think about it.
If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it, Right? I can imagine the paint on the walls, decorations, walls lined with ......, :-) It will be great! I can see myself sitting there in the middle of the afternoon..... lol. To be continued... :-)

For the Love of Books
I love books. I'm excited about a little business I want to start. I can't go into detail just now I still have a lot to research.
I also have a project I'm doing In April and May. I'm asking for book donations. Please go through your childrens books. If they have outgrown any please save them for me and I can pick them up. The books I collect will be given to low income children, teens and young adults. I want them to have something to keep them busy through out the summer. Now a days children at such young ages have so many responsibilities. Broken homes, one parent in the household, sometimes it is not even a parent. Some kids live with a family member. The books donated can serve as an outlet. Keep their mind off any troubles they have at home. Maybe keep them off the streets. Once you get into a good book sometimes you just can't put it down.
If you are a teacher and want some of these books for your kids please contact me.
